What do I do about my ex?

Shes bipolar so she has horrable depressive fits ever so often, we were on and off every couple weeks for almost 2 years, the funny thing is we never really been a couple and never really been friends, weve always been in that weird inbetween place. I love her with all my heart and she says the same but what should I do
