Soap Opera Comeback possible?

I've been a huge fan of OLTL for the last three years and I was devastated when last month they said they were canceling it. My mom watch who's a stay at home mom watch the CBS soaps for a long time. With the daytime drama recent downfall is it possible for them to make comeback, or is it the end of an era?
