What did you pay for wisdom tooth removal?

I've just recently discovered that my very painful toothache is being caused by an infected & impacted wisdom tooth. I was put on antibiotics while on vacation at my mother's by an out of state dentist. Now I am back home and ready to start looking for an Oral Surgeon. Trouble is, I don't have any kind of insurance and I am currently not working due to personal problems. So I have a family member who is offering to pay out of pocket. What I want to know is what did you pay for your wisdom tooth extraction?? Please keep in mind that I am only having 1 removed. Not all 4, so my pricing should be alittle smaller. Most dentists won't give me a quote unless I come in and get an xray. Which I can't afford running around to different dentists to figure out how much they'll charge me. Thanks for any answers. If anyone is around Canton, OH and has had work done there, any suggestions?
